I want to emphasize that if someone has done something heinous, you should take steps to protect yourself and report the issue to someone. Forgiveness isn't about letting someone off the hook; it is about finding freedom from letting it control you and how you live your life. I talk about my own struggles with a traumatic event and what I do to move past the situation and feelings.
