Mainstream media loves to smear red meat as unhealthy and disastrous for the environment.  But are cow farts really killing the planet or is that just a ploy to get you to buy fake meat products?  Would the fields behind my childhood home in New Hampshire, for example, really be better off without our happy backyard cows?  Would the ranches and wildlife reserves here in Colorado, replete with buffalo, elk, yak, pronghorn, cattle and mule deer, really be more environmentally-friendly if we simply got rid of all these dirty, burping, polluting animals?
