Most recently the order made an appearance in pop culture when William, Prince of Wales and other senior royal men wore garter robes to the coronation of King Charles III. And on Monday, the 19th of June 2023, Garter day, the order met at Windsor castle, for the first time under King Charles, to induct 2 new members. So what is a chivalric order?
