Here are the tips for listening and speaking from Pastor Jimmy's message this morning -
Maintain eye contact.
If you lose focus and miss something, ask for it to be repeated.
Before beginning your response, repeat what you think you just heard.
When you do speak, be careful of the words AND the tone.
Do not respond to anger with anger.
If you are unable, for whatever reason, to give your full attention, then say so.
Don’t try to get into deep conversations in crowded places or when the other person is engrossed in something.
Listen to your family member the way you would want to be listened to.
Speak to your family member the way you would want to be spoken to.
