One of the more popular perks about buying an electric vehicle is the rebate that's been offered in California, but that rebate is going away.

It's allowing the state to pivot a bit to provide relief for families who normally can't afford cleaner cars and SUVs.

It could have a huge impact on California's lower emission goals.
