This morning we continue our new series titled 'Recovering From Crisis' which explores lessons we can learn from Judah's return from the Babylonian exile. Today we turn to Nehemiah. Here is some background as we go forward today. Ezra 1-6 covers around 20 years of history. Then there is a gap of 58 years of history. Before picking up again with the introduction of Ezra. Ezra 7- 10 covers around 13 years of history with Nehemiah then covering a couple of years after his arrival. Then there is a gap of about 12 years of history before the final chapter. As we pick up our reading today we do so 92 years after our reading last week. Some of the other books we will explore will cover that time. However, what we will look at is the renewal that happens after the walls are complete and reform that us needed a decade later.
