Conversion therapy to drag diva

Girlscamp

Meredith Peterson shares the journey that led to her coming out as a transgender woman. She tried to live the model Mormon life, including going on a mission and graduating from Brigham Young University. She even had to endure horrible conversion therapy sessions in a family friend’s basement. After coming out as gay, she discovered the art of drag. Her fabulous drag persona, Ms. Mer, helped her ultimately embrace her true self as Meredith.
