Exodus 35:1-3
1. Remind
2. Ritual
“A ritual protects common but essential elements of human life from reduction, degradation and exploitation. I cannot take charge of a ritual, I can only enter in — or not. Neither can I engage in a ritual by myself; others are involved. So a ritual, simply as ritual, prevents me from retaining any illusions that I am self-sufficient at the same time that it thrusts me into a life with others.”

1) Without some consistent rituals in our life we live at the mercy of our urgency and our appetites.

Question for reflection…
1. In your relationship with God, what are you in danger of forgetting?
2. What is a ritual you are willing to engage in every day, week, month and year?
3. What did you used to be a slave to?
