As adults we like to pretend it is just the middle schoolers who are governed by peer pressure. We may be more sophisticated, but we all have wondered who else is going to the event before we go. We care deeply about what others care about. Instead of fighting this, what if this very fact of our created humanity is what Jesus saw and was speaking directly to through the proverbs.
