Michelle Morrow, 34, lymphoma , Kansas City, MO, with Dr. Lakshmi Nayak, Director of the Center for CNS Lymphoma within the Center for Neuro-oncology, Dana-Farber
- Michelle started experiencing numbness and weakness in her right hand that spread to her arm, then face and leg. After a brain biopsy, she was diagnosed with primary central nervous lymphoma. She underwent inpatient chemotherapy, which was ultimately ineffective at shrinking the tumor.
- Michelle researched and found CAR-T (a drug that uses the patient's immune system to fight cancer) and a clinical trial at Dana-Farber, which she was accepted to and has since stabilized the disease.
- Michelle enjoys writing, reading, baking, and spending time with her nieces. She is now able to walk, hike, and bike again! She was previously a physical therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics.
- Michelle feels Dana-Farber saved her life and that everyone she has encountered is unbelievably kind, compassionate, and encouraging. For her, Dana-Farber is a place of hope.
