No one likes conflict: it ties us up in knots and keeps us up at night. Most of us avoid it like a disease. Yet, avoiding conflict does not make it go away; we must “deal with it.” The same is true in our relationship with God. Christianity forces us to deal with the ultimate questions of life, and it’s often easier to avoid these subjects.
