We all know about the Great Resignation, people quitting or retiring or changing
jobs during the pandemic as so many of us take a closer look at our lives and
what’s most meaningful and important to us. But there’s something else going on
now, known as “Quiet Quitting” or “soft quitting.” There’s a buzz about it on
social media, as workers explain that they’re staying in their jobs, but they’re not
taking on extra responsibilities, and they’re no longer letting their jobs control
their lives outside of working hours.
