His years of experience as a Volunteer Firefighter in a small community began to take a toll, especially when extracting victims from severe vehicle accidents and cold water rescues. He talks about the realities of rescuing victims from these severe incidents. Scott began to develop PTSD, which led to substance abuse and the deterioration of his personal relationships. He has a candid discussion about how his Methamphetamine use added to his mental health decline. After becoming suicidal he eventually found help and tremendous relief from E.M.D.R.
