Killer Klowns, yes with a “K” descend upon a sleepy town that is slow to catch up to their invasion as they HARVEST EVERYONE IN COTTON CANDY COCOONS…

Movie came from 3 brothers who started a special effects company — The Chiodo Brothers. 

Some of their most iconic works include the “Large Marge” claymation from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and the monster effects in Critters, a 1986 horror-comedy. 

… When teenagers Mike (Grant Cramer) and Debbie (Suzanne Snyder) see a comet crash outside their sleepy small town, they investigate and discover a pack of murderous aliens who look very much like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. It's not until they kidnap Debbie that Mike decides it's up to him to stop the clowns' bloody rampage with help from Debbie’s ex-boyfriend, Dave The Cop.
