Bake Off series 14 episode 7: Dessert Week
As we draw close to the quarter final, the bakers take on classic puds – though Holly and Esther aren’t too over excited by the wobblier options.
Signature: Crème caramels
Esther’s not too pleased with Dan’s Thai take on a crème caramel, while Holly reckons she’d give it a try. We discuss horrible hot dogs and whether you can make sourdough out of anything.
Technical: Orange treacle puddings
Well, this was a turn up for the books. We’ve got some choice words for Paul Hollywood here, as we argue that the bakers may have been set up to fail with this particular challenge. Consider yourself roasted, PAUL.
Showstopper: Meringue bombes
After another slightly lacklustre challenge that we’re not totally sold on, we mourn the loss of a podcast fave and the quarter finalists are revealed…
