In this episode, we had the pleasure of introducing Dr. Emma Doran, Medical Director of Vaccine Preventable and Respiratory Diseases in the Medical Consultation Unit of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and former chief resident of the Preventive Medicine residency program at UNC. We discuss her journey from her internship in Naval Hospitals, flight surgeon training in the military as a Woman in Medicine, and her career in public health. As a clinician and advocate for healthy behaviors and lifestyle medicine, Dr. Doran discusses strategies to help our residents keep a balanced approach to wellness.
