Hey everyone I’m Pastor Gary Hoban and welcome to episode 33 of Refinery Life radio /TV.
Our goal here is to release a 2-3 minute video / Podcast each day, designed to challenge you and get you to spend more time with God.
Today we are going to talk about, Understanding Temptation.
When it comes to temptation and sin, there’s important distinction to make.
Temptation is not sin.
When you are tempted, you are faced with a choice.
You still have the opportunity to resist and not fall into sin.
But when you succumb, then you have gone from temptation to sin.
So if you find yourself struggling with temptation, you haven’t done anything wrong yet.
Just make sure you look to God for help, He has promised in, 1 Corinthians 10:13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
13 No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance];
but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist],
but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].
Thank God today for this promise that He will help you bear every temptation that comes your way today.
When you are tempted run to God.

When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.
