Martinette is originally from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Fleeing from an abusive relationship, she moved to the United States in 1993 leaving two daughters behind. She knew that to make a better life for her and her family it was what she needed to do, and thankfully a few years later she was reunited with her girls.
