Hi All,
First, I want to acknowledge that I really need to work on my relationship with my hair. That became apparent as I edited this video.
Now, when I talk about looks, I am not saying that you can't wear makeup, brush your hair, or try to look nice. I am not saying that we shouldn't want to look nice or have good hygiene. Obviously, there is biology involved in wanting to look good. It does play a role in being attracted to someone, right?
I am not making any judgments on all the things we do to make ourselves look better. I am talking about letting our ideas about our looks cripple our ability to do things we like. I am talking about not going swimming because you don't think you look good in a bathing suit or not wanting to be a guest on a video-tapped podcast because you will look ugly.
I am talking about being okay with who you are. I am talking about changing how we view beauty. I am talking about the fact that the definition of beauty is so narrow that most of us feel we don't meet the qualifications.
Second I want to let you know that I will be on a podcast (insert scream of excitement here)! So so scary! I have never been a guest before. If you want to know more about me, head on over to Spotify or apple podcasts and listen to me on Everyday Celebrity! https://open.spotify.com/episode/50GhcnEpUUjbvHcJaQbBbj?si=c71308efa88f4564https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/everyday-celebrity-podcast/id1485137327?i=1000600530122 #selfcare #selfhelp #selflovepractices #selfimage
