Congrats on 500 episodes! I love all your shows. Thank you everyone for your hard work. How about some 7 of 9 sound bytes? Maybe "fun will now commence". You should also bring back "there's coffee in that nebula".

You really got me with the new show thing. I was hyped since you "accidentally" dropped it in the pre pre show. That was evil

Hello! I'm a fairly new listener (within the past couple of months). I was digging through the Breez Wallet looking for some good non-bitcoin podcasts to listen to. I'm *quite* deep into the lightning ecosystem and have a lot of related podcasts I already listen to, so finding something outside that realm was my goal. Glad I stumbled upon your podcast! You guys finally convinced me to switch off iOS to GrapheneOS. Switching from iOS to Android is quite a usability downgrade for me, but the Gnome and KDE integrations with Android are making me feel a lot better about it. Out of curiosity, do you guys run your own node to receive boosts? I'm boosting from my own node via Alby! FOSS, peer-to-peer money for the win, baby!

I missed the Live stream, but I still wanted to boost in to say thanks for 500 episodes and I’m looking forward to the next 500.

(part 1)Belated congrates on episode 500. I'm sorry I missed it live. A zip boost for my show and Linux history. My first Linux experience was in 2001 in my high school PC repair class. I installed Mandrake on one of my lab machines. Unfortunately my career path has me mostly stuck in a Microsoft world. I didn't start back on Linux til 2019 when I started listening to your show.

With episode 500, I thought I'd share my listening story. I started in 2021 when I found a good chunk of time to fill, and shortly was working the LUP backlog from episode 1. Since then I've started listening to all the current JB shows, finished my backlog, and LUP's production value has been the bar against which I compare any other podcast I listen to (spoiler: only the ones Joe Ressington works on come close). LUP has been a big inspiration to my love of linux, thanks!

First-time time Booster, watching live - Boosting via the Podcast Index web page. Thank you for asking Rob the questions on my mind. I feel like they have a realist approach that could actually work. Exciting time to be a Linux user.

Chris and Team- just wanted to say you all are doing a great job already. Greg McKeown in his book, Essentialism, would challenge you, "How can you do less but better?" Say no to more things and more shows and have capacity for the great things you've been dreaming of. Keep yourself young and energetic and able to hit episode 1000 by not trying to do it all. Rather than "more and subpar," always aim for "less but better." Keep up the great work!

These are the podcasters we’re looking for. Wink! I listen to the members feed, and wanted to suggest a pump up song. It is a youTube song, so not ideal, but still worth a listen. “When Stars and Salt Collide”, by The Piano Guys.

(part 2) I was working at -64.77, -64.05 (longitude, latitude) and spent most of my workdays discussing tech and Linux especially with my network engineer office mate. I haven't missed any episode since. I'm excited about LinuxFest and shared the announcement my company's Teams Linux channel. Prior obligations will likely prevent me from attending this year so fingers crossed for a blowout so I can do the next one.

Hi guys from Québec Canada, I have been listening for many years! You got me into the open source and Linux rabbit hole. Trying to use Linux as much for school and work, but it's hard to make it work when you dont have a choice, so it's only a hobby even if I hate Windows and I have to use it everyday... But I am trying to change that! keep up your amazing work 🦆🦆! Cheers 🍻

PS,... the AI clip from 500 genuinely made me feel uncomfortable. That was an uncanny valley moment for me but also pretty incredible. If you're ever Midwest bound, my driveway is big enough to park two full size RVs and you're welcome to a spot.

i just discovered this show about a week ago in the fountain app. it is a good mix of entertaining and educational for this linux noob, even though i dont understand much of it. over the past year i have been working on removing microsoft and google from my life. i am running ubuntu and graphene. both of these have been easier than expected. getting chickens is a great idea by the way, stop eating shitty grocery store eggs. getting chickens has been just as liberating as changing to linux
