In the body of Christ we have to guard against the subtle tendency to manipulate a person or situation. In its most extreme expression, manipulation is a form of witchcraft. God does not want people to control you according to manipulation. Romans 8:14 states that He wants us to be led by His spirit. If you constantly feel like people are twisting your arm and placing pressure on you to do things you have no interest in doing you are being manipulated.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
