Carrie McBride with the Alzheimers Association gives us statistics about Alzheimers and dementia. Alzheimers is the 3rd leading cause of death in our state. The Walk to End Alzheimers is a major fund raiser, and the funds are used for research, for community support and education. People need to know they are not alone. There are numerous walks in Western Washington: Bremerton--Sept 8, Tacoma--Sept 16, Redmond--Sept 23, Seattle--Sept 29, Everett Oct 6.
