This was recorded on International Dawn Chorus Day beside the Upper McCloud River in Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. It was a cold and clear spring morning and the recording starts before sunrise as light was filling the sky and the dawn chorus filled the air.  Thankfully there was no air traffic overhead for the duration of this recording, so I am very glad to say that this episode is free of noise pollution.
