There were some truly uplifting and important moments (Lizzo’s acceptance speech) and some truly outrageous turns (a Shania Twain and Ryan Reynolds mash-up) that we need to unpack. And in more serious news, Kim Kardashian has been granted a restraining order against a man who continually showed up to her house, claiming to have a gun and insisting the two share a personal telepathic connection. It’s just one of many celebrity stalker stories involving home invasions and weapons, but there’s a complicated reason why they often don’t get reported.
