The Shire of Waroona is looking to establishing mandatory permits for Preston Beach after the holiday season left the regional shire with a cleanup bill worth tens of thousands of dollars.

The plan would be a first for any part of the WA coastline, but Shire President Mike Walmsley told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast they've reached a point of no return.
