Don Draper on Mad Men once told the owner of scandalized Caldecott Farms dog food “Any agency that does not change the name is stealing your money”. She does not agree of course. Draper goes on to tell her to find a new agency because she won't follow his professional advice - and he's right!
This advice is very similar to a quote of mine in an article The Reasons Why Agencies Say ‘No’ to New Business - “If you’re not willing to make changes, then why are you hiring us?” added Golding, who looks for executives that are not only comfortable with his agency’s ideas but excited about them. https://databox.com/why-agencies-say-no
Don Draper and I agree, anyone you hire (or hires you) has to be a "fit" in style, approach and willingness to do what works, not what's easy or what the client wants to hear. That's just stealing your money. Sometimes it doesn't work out, and the professional relationship should end.
