The vertically aligned carbon nanotube array will trap the light creating a surreal effect like looking into a black hole. Anish Kapoor bought the exclusive right to use VANTA Black for artistic purposes. Stuart Semple doesn't really like Kapoor's monopoly on the material as it blocks other artists from experimenting and innovating.
