From there, she became the Managing Editor of the Tico Times, and a speech writer for Costa Rican President and Nobel Laureate Oscar Arias during his second term. Today, she is the co-founder of El Colectivo 506, a bilingual media organization for and from Costa Rica, including in-depth journalism, and a national directory of rural tourism to showcase Costa Rica’s rural communities.
