A State Senator from San Francisco is pushing for a bill to create a state agency, to analyze how AI is developed. One of the key goals of the bill is to make sure AI doesn't harm Californians. 

This comes just one week after Governor Newsom signed an executive order on  AI that would look at the risks and potential benefits of using the fairly new technology.
