In this episode, Dr. Robert Rowe continues his conversation with Dr. Nathan Walker, MD, assistant professor of neurology, sleep medicine specialist, and sleep medicine fellowship director at UNC. Nathan continues to give advice to residents who work long hours with varying schedules. They then discuss common sleep disorders, the most effective treatment for insomnia, and general strategies for those with both insomnia and anxiety/depression. They also list “dos and don’ts” of exercise as it relates to sleep and if we can really trust our smartwatches and fitness trackers to accurately measure our sleep quality.
