Joining us this week is Luke Minor, the Director of WA 529, Washington State's College Savings Plans --GET and the Dream Ahead College Investment Plan. These higher education savings plans are great options for families supporting their kids' future education. The staff of WA529 along with the state are always working on improving the plans and involving all families. One of the new activities to highlight WA529 is a statewide art contest, encouraging youth to use any variety of mediums to express their dreams about their future. This year's prize is $529 presented to 2 students in every grade level, K-12. It's best to start early and young, but it's just important to get started first off. And with graduation season upon us, no better time to put funds into a young person's account, or open one for them and plant that seed.
