Beşiktaş have seen their positive momentum unexpectedly halted following a painful home defeat at the hands of Gaziantep FK. Ciro Immobile had put the Black Eagles 1-0 up from the penalty spot in the first half, after Rafa Silva was brought down int he box by Viana (who later saw his second yellow). But despite starting the second half well and forcing Gaziantep's goalkeeper Burak to several good saves, it was the visitors who scored against the run of play. When they then later went down to 10-men and the Black Eagles were pushing for a second, again the visitors struck against the run of play following a collective switch off at the back.
