Madalyn Murray O’Hair, was a woman very not of her time. In buttoned-up 50s America she called herself a militant feminist, a thinker and a drinker and - perhaps most heinous of all: an atheist.
Her provocative ways quickly gained her the illustrious title of "the most hated woman in America". She was so hated in fact that in 1995 when she, her son and her granddaughter went missing no one really seemed to care - that is until in 2001 when their dismembered bodies were found on a ranch in Texas...
