Hello … I’m Joanne Tombrakos and I want to introduce you to my brand new podcast, Marketing, Mindfulness, and Martinis – unfiltered real-life conversations or as I like to say …opinions shaken not stirred with people who are navigating the disruption in their businesses and their lives as we make our way to the next normal.

So what you need to know about me… is that I do a lot of thingS

I'm a storyteller, a digital-first marketing and business strategist. I teach marketing to grad students at NYU and the Katz School at Yeshiva and I use my marketing skills to advise people on their personal brands. And I write. If that sounds exhausting, some weeks it is and you might be wondering why I am adding podcasting to the list.

The short answer is why not.

The slightly longer answer is that my advertising career started selling country music radio in Philly and I’ve always had a secret longing to be on this side of the mike.

The real answer is 2020 and the coronavirus. As I conscientiously practiced social distancing  I kept feeling this increasing need to create something new and positive, amidst all of the angst and craziness in the world – something focused on the glass half full – not half -empty and this is what I came up with.

A podcast about how we market our businesses and ourselves at a time of unprecedented disruption and change, some Mindfulness, because we have to be sure to make the time to take care of us amidst all this uncertainty and Martinis – because they’re fun. I like mine shaken not stirred,vodka not gin.

If you’re looking for practical marketing advice and interesting conversations with smart people, a dose of inspiration, are open to unique and sometimes unconventional perspectives on business and life and take things seriously, but never too seriously this could be your next favorite podcast.
