75 Hard and Live Hard programs. The programs are designed to develop mental toughness through a series of physical and mental challenges.
75 Hard
●
75 Hard is a program created to develop mental toughness, not a fitness challenge. It requires zero deviation or compromise. If any part of the program is missed, the participant must start over from day one.
●
The program includes five critical tasks:
○
Choose a diet that aligns with personal goals and stick to it with no cheat meals or alcohol.
○
Drink one gallon of water every day.
○
Complete two 45-minute workouts each day, one of which must be outdoors. The workouts cannot be consecutive.
○
Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book each day for personal or professional growth.
○
Take a progress picture every day.
●
The program is based on an honor system, and participants must have integrity.
●
The program has helped many people develop discipline, self-worth, fortitude, grit, self-control, self-esteem, and confidence.
●
It is designed to help people develop the skills to execute consistently.
●
The program is not a “baby step” program, and it is meant to be hard.
●
It is scalable and can be done by anyone regardless of their current fitness level.
●
The program is designed to be the equivalent of an Iron Man for the brain.
Live Hard
●
The Live Hard program is a year-long mental development program that includes 75 Hard as its first part. It is comprised of four parts:
○
75 Hard
○
Phase 1
○
Phase 2
○
Phase 3
●
The program is designed to help people develop skills that will help them succeed at whatever they do, not just fitness.
●
It emphasizes the development of skills such as confidence, grit, self-belief, fortitude, endurance, and perseverance.
Phase 1
●
Phase 1 includes the same elements as 75 Hard.
●
It also adds three extra aspects:
○
Three additional critical tasks on a power list that help participants move toward their goals.
○
10 minutes of active visualization to help turn dreams into goals.
○
A five-minute cold shower every day.
Phase 2
●
Phase 2 is the same as 75 Hard but with one difference.
●
Participants must wait 30 days between the end of Phase 1 and the beginning of Phase 2. This is designed to test the participant’s ability to hold themselves accountable without a rigid structure.
Phase 3
●
Phase 3 must be completed during the last 30 days leading up to the anniversary of when 75 Hard was started.
●
It includes the five elements of 75 Hard and the cold shower from phase 1.
●
It also includes:
○
A daily random act of kindness.
○
Talking to a stranger and having a full conversation.
●
If a participant fails during phase 3, they fail the entire year of Live Hard.
Additional Information
●
The program is designed to be repeated yearly.
●
The most difficult choice should always be chosen in this program.
●
If a participant has to ask if something counts, it doesn’t count.
●
There is a 75 Hard app that can be used to track progress.
●
The book, “75 Hard”, can be purchased to give a more comprehensive understanding of the program.
The speaker emphasizes that this program is designed to help people develop mental toughness and become the best version of themselves.
