Her first book, The Kennedy Detail: JFK’s Secret Service Agents Break Their Silence (published in 2010), was the basis for the Emmy nominated Discovery Channel documentary, The Kennedy Detail. Lisa McCubbin has also written three memoirs with Clint Hill, the Secret Service agent who served under five United States presidents and is best known for leaping onto the back of President John F. Kennedy’s limousine as shots were fired in Dallas in 1963. McCubbin’s stories about the U.S. Secret Service, Betty Ford, and the Kennedy’s are fascinating and definitely worth a read.
