Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is making his first solo campaign appearance today, at a national union convention in Los Angeles.
That comes as Vice President Kamala Harris takes a break from the campaign trail, even as poll after poll shows her leading former president Trump nationally and closing the gap not just in swing states, but in states that the Republican candidate is heavily favored to win, like Texas and Florida.
Harris will appear with President Biden on Thursday in Maryland to talk about their economic plan, she will hold a makeup campaign rally in Raleigh North Carolina Friday, one that was postponed by last week’s hurricane, and then it will be on to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention.
