A very little touch on the CBA, before we shift our focus to Guardians draft picks still in the big leagues. We use the Baseball-Reference Draft Finder to look at who is still around professional baseball. We look at the classes and who is still playing from the draft classes from 2006 to 2018.
We start by looking into classes while 2011 and 2016 might be the most famous, it turns out that it is the 2014 class headlined by Bradley Zimmer and Triston McKenzie which has the most players signed and drafted still in professional baseball. The least successful class is very clearly 2007 and only TJ McFarland saves it from being a bust
Now we dig into the players themselves, we talk about how money has been spent and where the Guardians have been successful. We look at the top players both signed and unsigned. The Guardians have eight active All-Stars who were draft picks can you name them all?
