Pastor Rusty Milton "Out of step with the Gospel" Galatians 2:11- 15 ESV  We cannot live in line with the gospel unless we understand  God's provision for salvation. Living under the law makes us more fearful of the sin around us than the sin  in us. This leads us to become a mass of pride, self righteousness, judgmental attitudes, and fear. This fear naturally leads us to hypocrisy because our focus becomes how others perceive us. But the gospel brings freedom from The fear of man because the focus is solely on what Christ has done and nothing to do with our own ability or inability to keep the law.11 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party.[a] 13 And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. 14 But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”Justified by Faith15 We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners;
