I love that quote from Farrington that “True freedom implies restraint”. The founding fathers of the United States said that the society they were building could only remain free as long as the people remained moral and virtuous.

It’s one of my favourite quotes and has helped inspire my thinking around the idea of “Responsibility Go Up Technology”. in fact, without restraint (stemming from a duty toward responsibility) one could argue that freedom is immoral.

awesome conversation, I do hope that bitcoin starts to drain the swamp push out the zombie companies and institutions, drive completition and innovation. there is so much human capital locked in to these institutions we can’t begin to imagine the ideas and talents that can be harnessed if they were liberated from their fiat jobs and the level of productivity and abundance we could all enjoy when profit and more importantly loss signals are clearer for everyone fo see and react to
