Sheykh Efendi is saying that the most important promise to keep is the one made to our Creator – to worship Him. No matter your rank or diploma, if you don’t keep that promise, you are lost. If you are an unknown slave – like Bilal al-Habashi ra – and you keep that promise, you win. Following Holy Prophet Muhammad saws and keeping his orders makes it easy to keep that promise by holding onto your faith. If not, the spirit is in prison. You are not standing under the rain of Rahmat. Safety is in sejde.
