A combination of reflection of the past and how Jared still has passive suicidal thoughts today and how using the phrase: "I want to live!" has really helped solidify the fight.
The charge of wanting to live implies showing up for people and being present with them even in your pain. To be alive means you have to take changes and risk rejection. It means you might fail and it also means you might succeed. The idea of self care and self love is all over Instagram and social media and yes, we need self love but we also need vision.
Proverbs 29:18 " Where there is no vision, the people perish; but happy is he who keeps the teaching." And the vision we have for our futures gets tested when we have these suicidal thoughts.
Hope you can find comfort and find people to talk to in the process of having these thoughts. Saying things out loud helps us get the help we need. Find a trusted friend.
