Governor Newsom has announced plans to increase the number of state police officers assigned to combat fentanyl dealing in San Francisco, building upon an initiative he started in May, deploying California Highway Patrol officers to support local law enforcement efforts in the Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods.
