The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an essential part of the believer's life. Acts 1 lets us know one of its significant purposes: power. Jesus said that this experience would fill the believer with the power to become an effective witness for Him. This power caused the early church to turn the 1st century world upside down and its the same power that will cause the 21st century church to do the same!
