We welcomed Oilers legend and Hall of Famer Grant Fuhr onto the podcast this week to discuss both the past, present, and future. He talked about his time playing with the Oilers during the glory days of the 1980s and why, beyond boasting tremendous skill, why those teams were as good and successful as they were. Grant mentioned that he never had a goalie coach until he played in Buffalo and what he would be like if he were to coach a goalie in today's NHL. Also, we talked about the convoluted rules around goalie interference and review and how we can look to the past in order to fix these issues in the future. Before Grant joined us, we briefly talked about some the Minnesota Wild and their puzzling decision to pull the plug on the Paul Fenton experiment and whether or not Peter Chiarelli would be a good fit in Minnesota.
