Hey everyone I’m Pastor Gary Hoban and welcome to episode 65 of Refinery Life radio /TV.

Our goal here is to release a 2-3 minute video / Podcast each day, designed to challenge you and get you to spend more time with God.

Today we are going to talk about, Seeing Around the Bend.

Deuteronomy 31:8(AMP)

8 It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Imagine your driving at night through a mountainous area.

There are no street lights on the winding narrow road.

As you slowly approach another sharp turn in the road, your headlights shine straight ahead into the dark.

The road bends but your headlights don’t. You can see what is on the side of the bend, but around the curve, there is only darkness and the unknown.

That’s how we often feel when we approach bends in the road of life.

And it must have been how Moses and Joshua felt as they prepared to take the children of Israel into the promised land.

On their side of the Jordan river, they could see clearly, but the Canaan side was a mystery.

Moses told the people not to fear, that God would be with them, that He would never leave them nor forsake them.

And God later told Joshua the same thing in Joshua 1:5 (AMP) He said

5 No man will [be able to] stand before you [to oppose you] as long as you live. Just as I was [present] with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you.

If your knowledge of the future goes only so far, and you are approaching a sharp curve, know that God is with you now and will be with you on the other side.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.

When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.

Theres nothing thats too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
