I am Matt Campbell your host and today I am going to be talking about 40 New Songs that were released in February 2021 that would be perfect for weddings. If this is the first time you are tuning in, what we do is twice a month I will talk about the Hot New songs that were released in the previous month. Then, discuss the Hot 50 picks of the current month. So this week I will be talking about the new songs that were released. If you prefer to read the list you can do so on our website MyWeddingSongs.com. Just go to charts and Best New songs.
So let’s go ahead and get started because we have a little bit more than normal released in February. I think that is because of the love holiday, Valentine’s Day. The first song is by an independent artist called Transparent C with his song “Fly With Me” released on February 2, 2021. In case you haven’t guessed, I am going to be listing all of these songs in chronological order from oldest to newest. If you are looking for an R&B song, check out “Fly With Me”. Released a day later, on February 3rd, is SYML with his song “Stay Close”. It is a Poppy / Independent song you could play as a background song or as a love song on your wedding day. Next up is another little-known artist called Public Library Commute with their song “Moonlight”, released on February 4, 2021. A great little ditty you could play for your wedding reception as a background song or as a love song as well. I really like it as a background song during dinner or cocktails. Khalea Lynee released “This Love” on February 4, 2021. It is a great R&B song to play as a first dance song or as a background song as well. Robin Thicke continues to release music with his new R&B Jazzy song “Lucky Star”, released on February 5, 2021. It is one that you could really get into the groove as a Jazzy background song during cocktails or dinner.
Next up is the Country mega-group Dan & Shay with their new love song “Glad You Exist”, released on February 5th. It is another love song in their repertoire, but I have to say this one is a mid-tempo song so you could have it as a background song if you have social distancing where couples are staying in their seats during the dancing part of the reception. If you do have a party scenario at the reception, then the new song by Cardi B called “up”, released on February 5th is one you could add as a party song or a dancing song. Also released on the 5th is Mahogany Lox’s new song “Loving You”. This is a great slow love song you could play as a first dance song or any part of your reception. Next up is a new R&B artist Inayah with her song “Fallin” released on February 5th. It is one you could play as a love song during your reception. The last song we have released on February 5, 2021, is a remake of a popular song by Adam Doleac called “Another” but it is the wedding version. It is one that you could incorporate as the processional or recessional during the ceremony, or even as the first dance.
Released on February 7th is an artist that reached out to me to say “hey, check out this beautiful RB song”. The song is “Beautiful” by Holly Day. If you are looking for a very emotional R&B song to play during the ceremony unity portion of your wedding, or as a first dance song, be sure to check this out. Released on February 9th is another version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” first released by Elvi...
