The golfing community is in shock after the death of Grayson Murray, a Raleigh native who passed away on Saturday. Murray won two events on the PGA Tour. He started his career at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh and eventually played at Wake Forest and East Carolina. Murray was open about his struggles with alcohol addiction and mental illness. In January, Murray won the Sony Open in Hawaii and over the weekend he withdrew from a Tournament in Texas before taking his life.
