Today, we have a very magical holiday to celebrate. It's Harry Potter's birthday! Yes, the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One, the wizard who taught us the power of friendship and bravery. J.K. Rowling brought this beloved character to life and he’s been enchanting us ever since.
It is also somone else's birthday today... a much less notable muggle but he will not be named.
To honor Harry's birthday, I’ve chosen a quote from the series that really captures the essence of his journey. Sirius Black once said,
"We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."
This quote is from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and it’s a powerful reminder that everyone has a choice. We all face moments where we could take the easy path or the right path, and it’s those decisions that define our character.
Harry's story is full of these critical choices. From standing up to bullies at Hogwarts to facing Voldemort, Harry consistently chooses to act on the light within him. It’s not that he’s without fear or flaws, but rather that he makes a conscious effort to do what is right, even when it’s difficult.

I read all the Harry Potter books and of course watched the movies too and now my kids are really into Harry Potter too. They are reading each book multiple times and they don't get tired of the story. I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter movie!
