Buy a PIT -- Proposoal for Physical Item Tag in PC 2.0
Proposal
Add the physicalItemTag to Podcasting 2.0. Similar to LIT, it would have the physicalItemSplits. It should fit on a NFC/QR sticker and allow podcast clients to send boost for physical media.
It provides the following benefits:
- Allows the cost of physical media to go down as the licensing fee is not baked in
- Allows for listener to send value directly to artists
- Allows artist to receive value in a secondary sale
- Physical media is punk.
